How to Get to the Jade Chamber During the Archon Quest
Once you reach the point in the Liyue Archon Quest where you’re tasked with meeting Ningguang in the Jade Chamber, the process of getting there is surprisingly straightforward if you know where to go. Most players get stuck wandering around Liyue Harbor looking for an entrance, when the access point is actually tucked away at the northern end of the port.
First, fast travel to the Liyue Harbor northern waypoint, right next to the docks where you first arrive in the region. From there, walk north until you spot a set of stone stairs leading up to a platform, guarded by a Millelith guard wearing gold and black armor. Talk to the guard, and he’ll confirm you’re there for the meeting with Ningguang before activating the lift that takes you straight up to the Jade Chamber’s entrance platform.
So, a quick tip from personal experience: don’t jump off the lift while it’s moving up. I made that mistake once trying to glide to a nearby Geoculus, and the lift despawned halfway up, forcing me to walk all the way back to the guard to reactivate it. The ride only takes about 30 seconds, so it’s worth waiting the full time instead of trying to rush.
How to Re-Visit the Jade Chamber After Finishing the Archon Quest

The new Jade Chamber floats above the ocean just south of the Guili Plains, so the fastest way to reach it after you’ve unlocked it is to fast travel to the Mt. Tianheng teleport waypoint, climb to the top of the mountain, and glide straight over to the chamber’s platform. If you’ve already visited the rebuilt chamber once, you can unlock the teleport waypoint directly on the chamber’s lower platform, so you can fast travel straight there any time you want in the future. That’s the easiest way to avoid making the long glide every time.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Trying to Reach the Jade Chamber
After helping dozens of my friends reach the Jade Chamber over the years, I’ve noticed a handful of mistakes that almost every new player makes at least once. Avoiding these will save you a ton of time and frustration.
First, don’t waste time trying to climb to the chamber before you unlock the required quests. Even if you manage to climb all the way up to the altitude where the chamber floats, you’ll hit an invisible wall that stops you from getting close enough to enter. You won’t be able to interact with any part of the chamber until you progress the Archon Quest to the right point.
Second, if you’re playing in co-op mode, remember that only the host of the co-op session can access the Jade Chamber. If you join a friend’s world and they haven’t unlocked access to the chamber yet, you won’t be able to go inside even if you’ve already unlocked it in your own world. That means if you’re playing with a group, make sure the person hosting has the quest progress to access the area is the one leading the trip.
Third, make sure you unlock the teleport waypoint on the rebuilt Jade Chamber as soon as you first visit. There are multiple luxurious chests inside the chamber that respawn every few weeks, plus you can often find event-related activities there during Liyue-themed events. Unlocking the waypoint means you don’t have to make the long trip from Mt. Tianheng every time you want to stop by.
